Following retirement, Dave served as Executive Director of the Lake Louise Christian Community Camp and Retreat Center located near Boyne Falls, Michigan. He retired from that position in July 2015. He received his Master of Divinity from Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois and his Master of Music from the University of Michigan. I am confident of this, that the one who began a good work among you will bring it to completion by the day of Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:6

I live in a world of metaphor.  It seems to me that  everyday events and experiences point to deeper things and contain life lessons for those who will train their eyes to see.  This web page is a gift from my son and an experiment in sharing writings, videos, sermons and stories. During the time of Terry's illness and following her death this web page became a place to think out loud and process the experience of losing the one I loved.  Now I hope it will become a record of my effort with God's help to reclaim happiness, hope and balance in my life. It is my hope that some of these will strike a chord with those who happen upon them.  It is also my hope that having such a page will encourage me to continue to find the blessings and the lessons in each day.
